Philippians
3:12-14:
(12)
“I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these
things or that I have already reached perfection! But I keep
working toward that day when I will finally be all that Christ
Jesus saved me for and wants me to be. (13) No, dear brothers and sisters, I am still not
all I should be, but I am focusing all my energies on this one
thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.
(14) I
strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for
which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us up to heaven.” New
Living Translation
God gave this thought to our pastor as our
yearly theme. We
decided to choose this as our theme for women’s month.
I would like to encourage women everywhere to look into
your life to see what you can let go and leave in the past.
Let go of all hurt and pain that was cause by others or
you, let go of disappointments and heartbreak. God is able and
willing to help you forget. Give it to him and allow him to heal
you.
We must focus on the future; the end of the race is where the
prize lies. Let us remember as children of God our task is to live
so he can be pleased with our lives.
And to tell others about him so they can obtain the prize
of salvation in the end. Set your mark on the prize; do not allow
anyone or anything cause you to miss out.
Follow Christ with all your hearts and be blessed!!!!
